Kameido Tenjin Ume festival is held at Kameido Tenjin, Kameido shrine, from Sunday on second week of February through Sunday on second week of March every year. Ume blossom is one of flower of spring as well as cherry blossom. There are 300 Ume trees planted in the shrine.
Fragrant sweet smell of Ume
As soon as I got the shrine, sweet smell of Ume shot my nose. This shrine during the festival is like Shangri-La! Smell of many food booths on the main street also made me feel happy.
Many people come here to take pictures to win the best Ume blossom picture contest, especially on Sunday. Is the camera with you? You get a chance!
